Nan Jak An Aksyon (NJA) brings together people from Nan Jak, Île de la Tortue, members of the Haitian diaspora, and friends of Haiti to pursue practical community improvements. Our starting point is road infrastructure—because safer, more dependable connections can open doors to education, healthcare, commerce, and opportunity.
A community choosing to act
In Nan Jak, difficult road conditions can make everyday journeys harder for families, farmers, students, and local businesses. NJA grew from the belief that communities should not have to wait indefinitely for progress.
Supporters connected to Nan Jak and the Haitian diaspora in Florida came together around a straightforward idea: pool resources, organize responsibly, and begin improving the place they call home.
cannot change all of Haiti overnight. But we can begin in Nan Jak—and help inspire other communities to take action.
